A STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF AMPHETAMINE TO THE HYPERKINECTIC BEHABIORAL DISTURBANCE IN DHILDREN


Abstract
The authors selected six cases of mentally disturbed. Children with hhyperkinetic syndrome in the handicaped children¢¥s room of The Holt¢¥s orpbAnge. II San, Paju, Kyong Ki¡¦
The age of children were from four years old to ten. The amount of amphetamine given to them were varied from ten mg per day to fourty mg orally as it were needed. Four cases of them had abnormal E.E.G. records and one case normal record.
Four cases. Of them were improved at some degree, for the hyperkinetie behavioral disorders and one who had normal E.E.G. record was clearly improved. Even in the large amount of amphtamine used to the children had tranquilizing effect, although this drug, when the adults were taken it, had insomneic and irritable effect.
